The EMEA Customs Brokerage team is responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure equipment necessary to support the services are imported/exported on time, on right cost and compliantly across the multiple countries where AWS operates and will expand.
Key job responsibilities
– Overview and manage customs brokerage operation performance
– Start and drive process improvement initiatives
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive seamless customs operations for our customers
– Maintain and present customs brokerage KPI metrics
– Identify customs clearance process risks and develop scalable solutions
– Retrieve import documentation for audits and address document retention exemptions with customs brokers
– Verify accuracy of customs brokerage invoices, supportive documentation and charges
– 2nd Tier support for Customer queries

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ year experience in Customs Operations
• 3+ years of direct experience handling imports and/or exports Customs clearance operations and escalations in EMEA Region
• Ability to multi-task complex and competing priorities with high quality output
• Must be organized, pay attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency in additional language(s), EU or Arabic
• Customs Qualification
• Critical thinking and problem solve capability
