What we’re looking for

Our Application Suport Engineers deliver technical expertise for Hardware Accelerated Verification of digital chip designs based on Mentor’s emulation and FPGA prototyping products and services. Providing support for both pre-sales and post-sales assessment of customer needs as well as quick implementation/execution of the solution, you’ll also work side by side with our customers in close collaboration with R&D and marketing in a multi-functional, interdependent environment.

If you possess strong design and/or verification background, knowledge of HDL and HVL, as well as strong scripting skills for writing test programs and tooling to meet customer needs then we would love to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing

• Driving business for Siemens EDA using hands-on technical expertise
• Providing technical leadership in the sales of our HAV technologies for our innovative customers
• Partnering with and solving customer’s business problems
• Articulating customer’s technical needs and requirements to product engineering as well as influencing and shaping product direction
• Performing assessments of customer environments and requirements, providing guidance on topics such as: Simulation acceleration, Test bench development using SV/UVM methodologies, Advance Functional verification and modeling emulation and FPGA platform, Coverage analysis, RTL/Gate-simulations and other flow/infrastructure development and testing
• Accountable for the strategy creation, uncovering, scoping, and technical validity of the solutions to achieve the customer’s design and verification objectives
• Providing feedback and product ideas to our emulation product development teams
• Solving and remove technical obstacles
• Expanding or modifying the product development directions of engineering based on those solutions to improve work flow
• Developing a network of technical relationships at a peer-to-peer level

What you’ll bring

• BS or MS in electrical, computer or electronics engineering, computer science, or equivalent discipline
• Strong background with HDLs (e.g. Verilog, VHDL), HVLs (e.g. SystemVerilog/UVM, OVM, AVM, Vera, Specman, OOP), System C and methodologies (e.g. Directed/Constraint Random, UPF, Coverage, Assertion)
• Proven experience with Advance Test Bench creation and Simulation of complex SoC environments, makefile creation, use of Python, Perl, C/C++ scripts
• Trouble shooting, triage and debugging skills
• Deep knowledge of semiconductor IC industry – ASIC, FPGA, SoC, Memory, Interconnect, CPU architectures, embedded systems
• With excellent communications, you will enjoy working in a fast paced, results oriented, team environment

Nice if you have

• Knowledgeable in the areas of Verification IP protocols e.g. AMBA, USB, ETHERNET, PCIE, DDR, HBM, other
• Knowledge and experience in emerging technologies – AI, ML, 5G, Automotive, IoT, Networking and Functional Safety (FuSa)
