FTE: : 1, Shift: : Day, Schedule: Day Position Summary The Workers’ Compensation Claim Administrator is responsible for the direct administration of workers’ compensation claims for employees of facilities participating in MultiCare Health System’s self-insurance workers’ compensation program. This position is involved in the interpretation of complex state rules and regulations, in managing the processes associated with the administration of workers’ compensation claims, and in the coordination of medical care provided to injured employees. This position functions independently within general program policies and procedures and requires only periodic supervisory oversight and support. Work situations require data analysis, discretion, good judgment, and decision making within the scope of the position’s responsibilities. Major decisions are subject to the review and approval of the manager. Internal contacts include staff and management throughout MHS.

This position has frequent phone and written contact with physicians, attorneys, investigators, state regulators, and other external participants in the workers’ compensation process. The starting pay for this position is $70,325. 00 and the pay scale is $70,325. 00 – $101,192. 00 USD.

However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
