Exceptions from the COVID-19 vaccine requirement are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption. Requests for medical exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved medical exemption is required to start work. Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster two months after completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19. Because vaccine-induced immunity can wane over time, MSK continues to strongly urge all staff to get a COVID-19 booster as soon as they become eligible to maintain their protective immunity for a longer period. Job Description ACADEMIC HEMATOPATHOLOGIST- Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center The Hematopathology Service in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at MSK is seeking an outstanding academic hematopathologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Attending Pathologist. Experience and qualifications in flow cytometry, molecular diagnostics or coagulation is desirable. The MSK Hematopathology and Hematology Services led by Dr. Ahmet Dogan and Dr.
Lauren McVoy respectively represent one of the largest hematopathology/hematology clinical practices in the United States dedicated to the care of cancer patients and diagnosis of hematological malignancies. The services employ 24 faculty comprising hematopathologists and clinical pathologists supported by a dedicated team of allied health staff and state of the art laboratory infrastructure including automated hematology platforms, digital and computational pathology systems, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, coagulation, proteomics, cytogenetics and molecular pathology laboratories. MSK has world class clinical and research programs in lymphoid and myeloid malignancies, and the position offers unprecedented opportunities for collaborative research and research funding.
