Schedule: Full Time Shift : Hybrid -Mon – Fri 8am – 5 PM – 2 -4 times a month in the office The community you’ll be caring for: 420 LIVE OAKS BLVD, CASSELBERRY, 32707 The role you’ll contribute: The Instructional Systems Designer/Developer I designs and develops learning content, including but not limited to, eLearning interactivity Level 1 or 2 online courses, and video production for the AdventHealth Central Florida Division (CFD) and associated programs/partners, including AdventHealth University, Graduate Medical Education (GME), Acute Care Services, Integrated Health Services and all support services. This position supports AdventHealth CFD strategic initiatives through the design and development of learning content that ensures learning objectives are achieved. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all The value you’ll bring to the team: Collaborate with Learning Technologies team, AdventHealth stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify the learning needs of AdventHealth staff. Design and develop interactive Level 1-2 learning experiences using multiple course authoring tools or programs to best meet the learning needs. Initiate and utilize eLearning evidence-based principles and instructional strategies in the Instructional Design process for a wide variety of informative or procedural-based learning objectives.
Responsible for uploading and testing in the AdventHealth Saba-based Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure appropriate course functionality and optimal end-user experience. Develop multi-faceted supportive training materials to support course content, including instructional videos, job aids, user manuals, etc. Conceptualize, design and produce graphics using Graphics for Learning principles. Maintain and continually increase knowledge of processes involved in designing content, including applications, technology, policies and procedures. Maintain frequent communication with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and content stakeholders using standards established within the Learning Technologies team, from consultation through project completion, to ensure development of effective training within the project schedule. Document and maintain open and frequent communication within the Learning Technologies team to ensure project completion based on agreed upon milestones and timelines, communicating status, risk, and needs to ensure learning goals are met. Remain current and aware of emerging trends in instructional design, adult learning principles and course authoring tools/technology to assess its potential application. Modifies eLearning interactivity and instructional design to the architecture and medium of delivery. Offers operational support, development, troubleshooting and testing use-cases and leveraging the platform capabilities to meet customer needs. Develop, produce, and edit videos for training, live events and marketing purposes through the utilization of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite.
Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Technology, or applicable discipline or equivalent experience in lieu of degree. 1 year of experience in learning systems software or technology-based learning development. Experience with Shared Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) conformant instructional objects. 1 year of experience using Storyline (Articulate products) content authoring tools. Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent course authoring/asset management/development tool(s). EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Technology, or applicable discipline. 1 year of experience in healthcare education. Demonstrated experience with Final Cut Pro, Mac OS, and Adobe or Articulate products. Experience working in healthcare system instructional technology or learning environment. LMS experience, preferably in a SABA LMS environment Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED: Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
