Orlando, Florida, Nemours is seeking a Director, Facility Planning to join our Nemours Children’s Health team in Orlando, FL. With the constant growth and change of Nemours Facilities in the Enterprise, the need to strategically plan Capital Projects with our projected financial challenges has become evident. The Director will manage the Florida members of the Planning Team including Corporate Interiors, Facilities Planner, and Integrated Facility Design to support the Enterprise goals and strategic objectives. The Director of Facility Planning will work within the CP&RE department as a member of that team in delivering the highest level of customer service to the Nemours Enterprise. Position will be key leader working with the internal stakeholders to define the scope of each end-user’s project, validating the legitimacy of end-user requests. Other responsibilities of this position are the management of strategic capital cost forecasting including major infrastructure analysis and forecasting. To do this, the Planning Team will develop and standardize the use of facility master planning methodologies, including robust data analysis models to consistently align with corporate strategy and support Nemours’ mission and vision. 1. Accountable for Project Request Process for the state of Florida. 2.

Work and communicate very closely with NCHFL, Central Florida & North Florida Facilities and Construction Project Management teams for the specific project planning needs. 3. Knowledge of three-dimensional spaces and architectural principles to perform a range of planning and design exercises. Knowledge of Healthcare standards and codes. 4. Manage and coordinate with Manager, Real Estate for leased space across Florida. 5. Manage and coordinate with the Planning team staffing to perform test fits, space plans and creates functional space programs to define project scope. 6. Support Enterprise Leadership with Facilities needs in Strategic Initiative Management process and the Annual Strategic Planning initiatives.

7. Develop and maintain in conjunction with Nemours Children’s Hospital, FL, Home Office and Jacksonville Clinic Operations the Enterprise Strategic Facility Plan for all major facilities/campuses. Champion for space and quality standards 8. Must have a collaborative work ethic and willingness to take initiative in creating systems that work within Corporate Department needs. 9. Develop and execute, in coordination with Florida management, a long-term capital improvement plan for the organization’s facilities, particularly with regard to maintaining the existing infrastructure. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required for licensure, Master’s Degree preferred. With Bachelors Degree, minimum 10 years experience in Healthcare facilities planning strategies, regulations and standards as well as Real Estate brokerage process. Architectural or Interior Design Licensure (NCARB, NCIDQ, etc. ) required; LEED AP, Lean experience, EDAC preferred Five + year Healthcare Facilities Planning, Financing and Real Estate experience required
