UNAVAILABLE,, Overview Seeking hybrid and/or remote candidates. Hybrid: a mix of on-site and off-site work. Staff designated as eligible for hybrid work are expected to work a minimum of two days per month in the CO building. Amount of time required may vary by manager. Full-Time Remote: 100% of work is done off-site and must be located more than 50 miles from the CO building. A CO Full-Time Remote employee may still be called into CO from time to time. Commuting expenses for these trips will be the responsibility of the employee. The Field Staff Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for the overall planning, development, and delivery of education to all Joint Commission Resources (JCR) and Joint Commission International (JCI) field staff. (i. e.

, international surveyors, international consultants, domestic consultants, Continuous Survey Readiness (CSR), and Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services consultants (CMS). Develops materials, educational resources, job aids and writes communication related to international accreditation, international and domestic standards, survey process, quality, and safety monitoring. Oversees and participates in all types of education events, including but not limited to field staff orientation and onboarding, face to face (F2F), online training, webinars, and training calls. Responsibilities Partner with JCR consulting and accreditation stakeholders to identify initial and then ongoing field staff training needs. Documents requirements, priority levels, timing, subject matter experts (SMEs), and potential facilitators. Continue to track and adjust throughout the year to inform delivery of the plan. Lead development of annual JCR/JCI field staff training plan, including F2F, online eLearning, and training calls based on that assessment. Coordinate with all who need to be involved with creation and delivery of training materials. Report status and updates to stakeholders throughout the year. Responsible for all aspects of curriculum design and development, using adult education principles.

Formulate goals and objectives for education deliverables across all consulting and international accreditation businesses, focused on standards, corporate initiatives, operations, IT, survey process, and safety and quality. Identify and collaborate with SMEs regularly to receive content for delivery. Provide guidance as needed. Manage the use of appropriate technology, including e-learning software, video, audio, and other programs, to produce media and graphics for web-based and F2F education offerings. Deliver or manage delivery of all JCR/JCI field staff training programs. Collect participant feedback and adjust programs as needed. Track and report attendance. Communicate attendance updates to appropriate management teams. Manage logistics support for training programs and resource material production as needed. Support the faculty and participants by providing assistance via email, phone or web conferencing to the participants during tele-conference and web-based programs.

Contribute to development of all field staff monthly newsletter. Act as back-up to delivery newsletter when needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, multimedia design, organizational psychology, education, training and development, or a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience in instructional design, audio/visual, PowerPoint presentation development, education production support. Previous experience developing education modules utilizing adult learning principles. Previous project management experience a plus. Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Outlook. Preferred experience with Articulate 360, Adobe Photoshop, SumTotal or other LMS, and advanced PowerPoint skills. Preferred experience, either via course work or professionally, with website/app development or coding. Use of technology, including graphics, audio, and video equipment and software, and authorware, to produce media elements for modules, conferences, meetings, and informational purposes.

Demonstrate excellent communication skills verbally and in written format; demonstrated skills in transforming print material into visual presentations and presentations into print documents. Demonstrate organizational skills and detail-orientation. Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and expediently in a team environment; to adapt to diverse internal and external customer needs. Customer service experience preferred. Experience studying, working, or volunteering internationally, or amongst diverse populations, is also preferred. Ability to utilize interpersonal skills and behaviors to a) ensure effective, open and respectful communication; b) provide a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages questions and clarification; and c) demonstrate patience, allow sufficient time that achieves understanding, including staff, surveyors and other departments.
