Miami, Florida, Description Job Summary Assists, educates, and resolves PACS and Web issues. Perform advanced troubleshooting and configuring systems and applications. Will coordinates projects, presentations, and training with hospital clinical staff in order to ensure effective integration of PACS within the organization. Minimum Job Requirements 2 to 3 years of experience with RIS systems and/or PACS (including development of workflow processes) required or 3 years of experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) may be substituted for RIS and /or PACS experience. Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office proficiency required. Understanding of Radiology workflow and how it relates to PACS is required. Qualifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities Acts as liaison between end users and PACS Administrator for user issues. Assists in testing upgrades and problem solving during implementation, simulation and support phases of the PACS and Radiology Information Systems and Voice Recognition system. Provides support, training and application maintenance of systems. Assists in the planning and implementation of Radiology clinical systems and participates in the training and on-going support of hospital staff as relates to the PACS.
Completes daily review of the on-line work list, unprocessed requests, chart request maintenance, report queue audit for remote report distribution transmissions, runs utility programs and radiology information system monitoring programs to ensure that all systems, subsystems, and user interfaces are working correctly. Creates ad hoc reports to perform audits. Develops end-user guides for training, and documents downtime protocols. Follows hospital patient-identification policy. Maintains the Radiology Wednesday Conference teaching file interface. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to follow written, and verbal and diagrammatic instructions and to solve complex problems and file basic reports. Ability to interpret, adapt and react calmly under stressful conditions. Ability to use logical and scientific thinking to interpret technical data and solve a broad range of problems. Able to relate cooperatively and constructively with clients and co-workers.
Able to work independently, applying intensive and diversified knowledge in broad areas of assignment. Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology or Information Systems or 3 years progressive experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and/or PACS may be substituted. Crystal Reports and/or other Data Reporting Tools experience desirable. Knowledge of networking and DICOM standards. Knowledge of RIS / PACS / VR systems.
