Work Type: CE – Clinician Educator, University Medical Line Location: Stanford University Categories: School of Medicine The Stanford Department of Pathology seeks an outstanding MD or MD/PhD with subspecialty expertise in surgical pathology and/or cytopathology for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the University Medical Line or Clinician Educator Line. Board eligibility or equivalent training in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology plus Clinical Pathology is required. Subspecialty fellowship training is strongly preferred. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Successful candidates will join the faculty in the Department of Pathology, which currently includes a Nobel laureate, multiple members of the National Academies, and many other investigators with national and international distinctions. In conjunction with its outstanding research program, the Department of Pathology is responsible annually for over 16 million laboratory tests and 80,000 anatomic pathology specimens, and educates outstanding graduate students, residents and fellows. The expected based pay range for this position is: Assistant Professor: $244,000 – $256,000 Associate Professor: $290,000 – $302,000 Professor: $348,000 – $360,000 This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It may not include all components of faculty compensation or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
