The role you’ll contribute: The Patient Accounts Specialist is responsible for duties specific to the assigned department that supports the functions of the Revenue Cycle for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
Assist in meeting departmental goals in accordance to the hospital strategic plan. Patient Accounts Specialist will foster a patient-focused environment in the department; maintaining acceptable standards of service and providing assistance in creating a vision for the area which reflects the vision and values of Shawnee Mission Health. The value you’ll bring to the team: · Verify eligibility/insurance benefits and may obtain insurance authorizations · Create price estimates based on patient’s insurance and test/procedure · Suggest to Team Lead and/or Manager new procedures to improve the quality and quantity of work processed · Communicate honestly with everyone.
