Senior Accountant – Financial Accounting

Houston, Texas, Job Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with complex accounting activities including, but not limited to, general ledger monthly close-out, account analysis and reconciliations, and sub-system reconciliations. The position will also be responsible for audit preparation, preparing reports for management, and other accounting related tasks as required. Minimum Qualifications Degree: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Licenses & Certification: CPA or CPA-eligible preferred Work Experience: Five (5) years accounting work experience required. Healthcare experience preferred Communication Skills: Writing/Correspondence, Writing/Reports Proficiencies: MS Excel – Advanced (pivot tables, V-look-up, etc. ), MS Word, P. C. Job Attributes Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analytical, Mathematics Work Schedule: Flexible, Eligible for Telecommute Other Special Requirements: PeopleSoft experience a plus. Good oral and written communication skills.
