Fort Collins, Colorado, Help Make Extraordinary Possible. UCHealth has an excellent opportunity for a PRN PhysicianAssistant or Nurse Practitioner to join UCHealth Urgent Care Clinic in FortCollins, CO. REQUIRED:
* One yearof experience working with pediatric and adult patients as an advanced practiceprovider in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room.
* Availabilityto work 2 weekend days and 2 weekdays per month is required.
* FamilyNurse Practitioner candidates must have full prescriptive authority to beconsidered for this position.
* Newgraduates will not be considered for this position. The pay range for this position is $47. 44 – $66. 44/ hour. Pay isdependent on the applicant’s relevant experience.

* Obtainspatient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, andexamination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.
* Providesdirect treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authorityor referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
* Providescounseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerningpreventative health, treatment options and community resources.
* Performspreventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
Requirements for Physician Assistants
* Bacheloror Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
* Unrestrictedlicense to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado.
* PhysicianAssistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission forCertification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must bemaintained throughout employment
* UnrestrictedDrug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medicationscommonly prescribed in the course of practice.
* Eligibleto provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider status withMedicare and Medicaid.
* Eligibleto provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health andHuman Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General ServicesAdministration’s (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
* Unrestrictedmedical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges.
* Prescriptiveauthority as appropriate, per medical staff service privileging process.
* BasicLife Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association orthe American Red Cross Requirements for Nurse Practitioners
* Master’sdegree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
* NursePractitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center(ANCC) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Academy ofNurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) is required for hire and mustbe maintained throughout employment.
* UnrestrictedNurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in the state ofpractice or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compactagreement
* Unrestrictedmedical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges
* Fillprescriptive authority
