Madera, California, Registered Nurse – Vascular Access Specialist – Per Diem SUMMARY: The Vascular Access Specialist is a licensed Registered Nurse who is accountable to assess and identify the vascular access needs of the patient, coordinate and provide services for peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement in the hospital setting and for outpatient referrals, and to serve as a resource to staff for ongoing monitoring, maintenance and management of potential catheter-related complications. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children’s policies. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: This position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Individual must have a valid California RN license and a minimum of three (3) years’ related clinical experience, pediatric experience highly desirable. PICC Certification and bilingual skills preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position. POSITION DETAILS: Per Diem, Must be available to work a minimum of one x 10-hour shift per week. PAY RANGE: $41. 02 – $70. 38 LOCATION: Madera, CA
