Boise, Idaho, Overview St. Luke’s Health System seeks a Risk Management Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the SVP/Chief Legal Officer, the Risk Management Administrator is the senior leader for risk management across St. Luke’s Health System and all subsidiaries. The Administrator works with executive and clinical leadership of the Health System and its hospitals, clinics, and health plan to ensure effective management of all insured risks, including oversight of the organization’s programs of insurance, patient relations, risk management and related functions. Responsibilities Oversees work related to cost-effectively protecting the organization’s assets and reputation. Develops and leads risk mitigation programs, insurance procurement, self-insured retention program, handling of all Professional liability/General Liability and property/casualty claims (excluding workers compensation), and professional litigation defense. Leads the development of processes, policies and procedures related to the mitigation and management of professional and general liability risks. Oversees the day to day operations of the department, including departmental strategy related to staffing, budgets and inter-departmental relationships. Ensures all significant events are effectively managed.
Negotiates and settles claims directly with claimants and claimants counsel within limits of authority provided by the Chief Legal Officer. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
