We are seeking an individual with strong leadership and planning skills to join our team as the Executive Director, Medicine and Critical Care. In this position, you will be responsible for the overall administration and operating results of the Departments of Medicine and Critical Care, including overseeing the strategic planning process, professional staffing/scheduling/payroll, revenue cycle, financial performance, purchasing, human resources management, training programs, clinical research and facilities planning and management.
Responsibilities:
Determine the overall vision, mission, direction, goals and objectives for assigned department and direct the strategic planning process, establish and achieve long range goals and ensure the implementation of strategic business plans
Identify, evaluate and recommend new business ventures, affiliations and partnerships consistent with the strategic business plans, growth and market objectives
Development and implement financial goals and measures, including the annual department and Hospital budgets, and ensure on-going positive financial performance
Support and implement projects to support programmatic growth, efficiency and quality/safety initiatives across the respective patient care areas
Monitor the on-going process of clinical research development, submission, review and notification
Serve as the Department resource for all administrative issues concerning human resources policy issues
Participate in the recruitment and selection of departmental staff
Assist in marketing, promotion and fundraising efforts for clinical activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA or equivalent degree preferred
5+ years of administrative/management experience in academic or community hospital setting with demonstrated supervisory experience
Strong financial, organizational and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated communication skills, including verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Experience using Microsoft Office suite and various financial systems
