At ERHC, our providers and personnel aren’t just valued employees – they’re family .
ERHC is seeking a dynamic physician to join an exceptional medical team caring for a population of firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics/EMTs, and their families. Entering our 19 th year of service, ERHC is a welcoming, patient-centered, and independently owned outpatient health center offering “360 degrees” of care – from annual wellness examinations, continuity care, occupational health, and rehabilitation/physical therapy to mental health, acupuncture, and deep tissue massage.
ERHC offers an opportunity to care for a highly motivated, physically active, and health-conscious population of first responders and their families. Through an advanced scope of practice that exceeds mainstream primary care, ERHC presents an avenue to broaden providers’ medical expertise in an energized and supportive environment.
Qualifications: ERHC is seeking a versatile Primary Care Physician/Medical Administrative Coordinator who will thrive in an environment that emphasizes innovation, quality, and compassion. This team member will have the ability to seamlessly balance medical practice (3 days/week) with administrative functions (1.5 days/week).
Primary Care Physician Role | Eligible candidates will be board-certified in family medicine or internal medicine. Highly competitive applicants will have experience, or dual-certification, in sports medicine and/or occupational medicine. Competitive candidates will also have experience in, or interest in learning, exercise cardiac stress testing and exercise physiology. Candidates will demonstrate an interest in mental health care, including screening, pharmacology, crisis counseling, and collaboration with ERHC licensed therapists.
Medical Administrative Coordinator Role | Eligible candidates will have strong medical leadership experience or aptitude, and be capable of establishing positive relationships with first responder departments; providing in-services/training to ERHC team members, healthcare outreach to first responders, and workforce wellness consultation to collaborating agencies; implementing leading edge/front-line clinical protocols and technological advances; and generally advancing health center practice objectives.
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to exemplary, patient-centered care and be willing to emulate ERHC’s “depth-of-care” standards (responsive medicine that exceeds established norms, with longer appointment times and visits addressing multiple conditions). ERHC providers share the preventative health aim to “prescribe lifestyle, minimize medicine.” ERHC providers must be willing to undergo mentorship and independent study toward mastering above-standard clinical protocols, including understanding of first responder occupational health, workplace exposures and risks, and culture. (This includes familiarity with NFPA 1582, OSHA, and Peace Officers Standards and Training-POST, etc.)
Finalists will be capable of operating independently and as a member of an integrated team; be willing to participate in periodic travel clinics; and be willing to invest time and talent in furthering ERHC’s mission and clinic model.
Essential Job Functions: The Primary Care Physician/Medical Administrative Coordinator will balance medical practice and administrative responsibilities.

As Medical Administrative Coordinator, this provider will invest approximately 1.5 days per week in medical executive functions, to include shared Clinic oversight, team training, policy development, quality improvement, first responder agency relations, health outreach, and related due diligence.
Advancement Opportunities: This team member has the opportunity to advance into an Associate Medical Director role, based on exemplary performance as Medical Administrative Coordinator.
Salary and Benefits: Competitive, incentive-based salary. Benefits include four weeks of PTO, silver-plan health insurance, 401K Match, and CME.
