Ideal for swimming, boating and fishing Beautiful agriculture and farmland Sebring is known for motorsports and home to the famous Sebring International Raceway Nature and hiking trails The role you’ll contribute: The Inpatient Wound Care RN will be responsible for Inpatient Wound Care oversight, wound/ostomy consultation and management, monitoring of quality indicators, and staff education. This role will participate in the Pressure Ulcer Prevention Committee and serve as a liaison between the Inpatient and Outpatient wound Care/Hyperbarics programs. This includes, but is not limited to, utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care through the use of hospital and nursing standards. The value you’ll bring to the team: Provide initial and ongoing assessment on each assigned wound care patient to include face to face and telephone triage.
Provide specialized education and schedule referrals as ordered by providers. Collaborates with other health care providers, wound care center Physicians, and Program Director. Demonstrates proficiency with wound care dressings, edema control and other current proven methodologies. Perform screenings per provider guidelines; assist physicians/nurses when needed as required by specialty. Demonstrates critical thinking and independent decision making; utilizing policies and procedures, standards of care and data analysis. Develops and implements inpatient wound care program to include patient care protocols, documentation tools, and wound care referral criteria. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school At least 3 years wound care experience Active FL RN license Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
