Schedule:   Full-Time The role you’ll contribute: The Clinical Patient Safety Program Manager is responsible for the implementation and management of the AdventHealth Clinical Patient Safety programs. This role will lead/co-lead and actively participate in various clinical patient safety and related projects within AdventHealth Clinical. The manager will provide support in safety culture and patient safety including project management, patient-centered care, teamwork, evidenced-based care, communication, learning, and just culture. The highest priority is to contribute to the advancement and ensure the organizational strategy around High Reliability Care. This role will maintain expert knowledge of patient adverse events (harms) and clinical patient safety agendas.

Has extensive subject matter expertise in forensic clinical electronic health (EHR) record review/audits and leads, manages, and oversees EHR audit related projects within AdventHealth Clinical and for other internal and external customers. This individual will report to the Program Director of Clinical Patient Safety. The value you’ll bring to the team: Responsible for day-to-day operations and workflow of the AdventHealth Clinical Patient Safety Programs. Manages organization-wide Safety Culture Survey and assists with development of and execution of process improvements and action plan(s).    Organizes and leads the education and training of AdventHealth Mortality Learning System (MLS) Reviewers Responsible for the development, editing and revision of the MLS record review guidelines and record review tool Oversees the MLS applications and collaborates on the functionality with the Data Warehouse team, Origami System Manager and Safety Culture Analyst. Collaborates with Safety Culture Analyst to create and maintain meaningful and valuable data dashboard displays. Oversees the analysis of the mortality learning system and dashboard. Serves as the clinical mortality review subject matter expert on the AdventHealth Clinical Mortality Learning System. Leads/ co-leads clinical analysis on MLS opportunities for improvement. Patient Safety Organization Mortality Learning System Component Lead.

Develops and distributes AdventHealth Clinical Patient Safety communication and related recommendations when applicable. Oversees and leads the project planning and implementation of the Intraoperative Technical Skills Assessment program at all applicable AdventHealth facilities. Communicates with facility champions on any updates, challenges, or program training needs. Coordinates with the Medical Staff Offices to ensure all robotic privileged surgeons are provided information on the program. Collaborates with the Intraoperative Technical Skills Assessment representative and team to validate all robotic privileged surgeons are provided accounts. Oversees the accuracy of the exported EHR monthly file. Collaborates with the Data Warehouse team on file, facility, or data element updates. Monitors the Intraoperative Technical Skills Assessment dashboard and monthly data files. Regularly collaborates with the Executive Sponsor and Intraoperative Technical Skills Assessment representative on facility maintenance, network issues, hardware issues, training, and communication needs. AdventHealth RAMIS Taskforce: Organizes and assists with bi-annual meetings, agendas, minutes, and assistance with guideline edits and revisions.

Organizes and assists with monthly meetings, communication, and actively participants in the collaborative initiatives. Co-leads and oversees the Perinatal Collaborative SharePoint and Perinatal Dashboard data elements, analysis, and access management. Collaborates with Safety Culture Analyst to create and maintain meaningful and valuable data dashboard display. Collaborates with the Executive Quality Director on perinatal quality measures and direction. Communicates with the Perinatal Collaborative Champions and Perinatal facility contacts. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Quality, Safety or Healthcare related field Registered Nurse Minimum of five (5) years in healthcare leadership Minimum of eight (8) years of healthcare clinical experience, strong clinical background required. Experience in the following areas: a) patient care processes b) adult and pediatric diseases in hospitalized patients Demonstrated completion of Certified Professional in-Patient Safety (CPPS) or equivalent preferred Project management professional (PMP) preferred Willing to travel to AdventHealth facilities as needed Maintains personal professional growth and contributes to the growth of team members  Experience: Expertise in electronic health record reviews and/or clinical audits Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) and its interface with clinician workflow Strong background in patient safety, patient adverse event (harm) identification, recording and analysis. Knowledge of statistics, data collection, analysis, and data presentation Working knowledge of quality and safety improvement strategies and methods including root cause determination and high reliability organization process improvement. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff. Proven competency and experience with executive level presentation skills.

Ability to create, build, and lead teams. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to focus detailed and concentrated efforts to multiple projects and re-establish priorities as necessary. Ability to effectively respond to time sensitive issues and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals. Expertise in error prevention theory and practice. Expertise in process improvement and change management, which may include Lean, Six Sigma, etc. Proficient computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of Visio.
