(Must live in MO or IL)   BJC is hiring for an Epic Application III Analyst.   We are looking for a candidate that has RTE expereince. In addition, BJC provides additional community benefits through commitments to research, emergency preparedness, regional health care safety net services, health literacy, community outreach and community health programs and regional economic development.   BJC’s patients have access to the latest advances in medical science and technology through a formal affiliation between Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital with the renowned Washington University School of Medicine, which consistently ranks among the top medical schools in the country.   Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Under little direction, the Application Analyst III for Epic is responsible for planning, analyzing, designing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining Epic software applications. Builds collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, clinical department users, IS and other corporate departments to facilitate usage and acceptance of the system. This role serves as a technical expert and applies advanced skillset (e.

g. programming/configuration skills) to resolve more complex build and configuration tasks and resolve advanced issues. Frequently serves as a liaison between Infrastructure and/or vendor technical contacts. May be responsible for system integrity. Required to obtain Epic certification(s) within 6 months of hire/transfer date or within 6 weeks of last Epic class completion, whichever is sooner.   Responsibilities Configures, modifies, tests, implements, maintains and supports applications software. Develops thorough application knowledge within specific areas of focus. Write and maintain system documentation. Understands the workflow and business requirements and has the ability to build/modify the system to meet business specifications. Thorough understanding of possible ramifications to business process as well as other system applications.

Provides resolutions and guidance to end-users on best practices and guidelines. Provides solutions or resolves end-user system issues. Serves as the team. s escalation path for complex application issues, providing coaching, direction, or researching and resolving. Leads others to solve complex problems. May lead functional teams or projects. Drives collaboration and innovation. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Serves as mentor and advisor to others.
