Saint Louis, Missouri, Additional Information About the Role Additional Preferred Requirements Overview Christian Hospital is a full-service acute care community hospital located on 28 acres in north St. Louis County. Christian Hospital is noted for its excellence in heart services and lifesaving cardiothoracic surgery, emergency medicine, breast health services, orthopedic/spine surgery, hyperbaric wound care, pain management, vascular surgery, endocrinology, gastrointestinal care, stroke care, nephrology, therapy, radiology, urology, pulmonary care and treating sleep disorders. Northwest HealthCare, located six miles west of Christian Hospital, provides the community 24-hour emergency care, with Washington University Physicians and St. Louis Children’s Hospital providing pediatric services. Northwest HealthCare is also home to the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of full-service outpatient diagnostic and imaging services in a convenient setting. The VP of Medical Affairs Department is a liaison between the medical staff, the hospital’s administrative leadership and BJC HealthCare. The Department organizes and leads the medical staff to build strategic business alliances with the Hospital. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs activities related to the entities and other affiliated instruction’s credential verification process for initial and reappointment applications for medical staff and allied health professionals. Provides support to the Credentialing Lead and may oversee additional responsibilities in the absence of the Credentialing Lead, including mentoring and training the Credentialing Analyst I.
Responsibilities Verifies that credentials of medical staff, mid-level, and allied health professionals are in compliance with regulatory bodies, federal, and state agencies. Maintains accurate data in credential database and permanent credential files. Collaborates with medical staff and leadership to ensure credentialing and processing standards are being met. Provides credentialing reports and maintains data integrity within credentialing systems.
