Hershey, Pennsylvania, Penn State Health Corporation Location : US:PA:Hershey Work Type : Part Time FTE : 0. 50 Shift : Day Hours : 4 SUMMARY OF POSITION : The Financial Analyst is a member of the Finance Division at Penn State Health, and reports to the appropriate facility or corporate Finance leadership. Under guided supervision, the Financial Analyst is responsible for duties involving one of the following core areas: Revenue and Reimbursement; General Accounting; Third Party Contracting; Medicare / Medicaid Cost Reports; Financial and Statistical Reporting. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, business, health administration, or a related field required. One year of functional experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong computer and software skills, and ability to remain organized and efficient. Can positively relate with team members and management. Possesses and can demonstrate strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills. Ability to build positive working relationships in a matrixed organization. Ability to analyze and translate data into useable information. Manage multiple requests concurrently.
Knowledge of financial systems / technical skills, along with a solid understanding of GAAP is preferred. Adaptable to changing circumstances and strategies. Demonstrate continued willingness to learn, while developing business acumen to achieve ongoing growth within the position and within the organization. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Background in Tax preferred.
