Job Summary The Senior Analyst, Planning & Business Development serves as an internal consultant to corporate planning and business development to help answer market and business questions and to provide support to business and strategic planning and expansion efforts. The position helps identify strategic issues that can impact the health system, conducts analysis and forms hypotheses to bring forward to key stakeholders for decision making. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Serves as a consultant for projects by determining appropriate qualitative and quantitative information that is needed, completing research, analyzing & interpreting findings, and presenting the findings and recommendation to key stakeholders in the organization. Operates in project leadership role and facilitates teams and related workgroups that support strategic and business development initiatives. Works with leadership to develop the organization’s strategic plan(s) to ensure its continued successful growth and profitability. Conducts environmental scans, organizational positioning analyses and other studies. Leads and/or supports development of recurring deliverables such as the annual medical staff development plan, environmental assessment, etc. Connects strategy with business operations, drawing from disciplines such as strategy development, business analysis, process management, operations and systems analysis.

Works closely with Finance to develop financial feasibility studies. Conducts or facilitates periodic reviews of achievements and performance vs. strategic plans. Coordinates and supports Certificate of Public Need applications. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting or Finance preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of strategy, planning, finance, business development within the healthcare industry demonstrating success with increasing levels of responsibility required. Demonstrated project leadership skills, required Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required. Ability to interpret data, perform analysis and effectively communicate meaningful insights through written and verbal communication to inform decision making required. Proficiency with using the internet for research required.

Experience using visualization tools (i. e. , PowerBI) and mapping tools (i. e. , Maptitude) preferred.
