The Business Analyst partners across all levels of the organization, including vendors, to understand business needs and design solutions to meet those needs. You would bring your demonstrated ability to understand current state, identify impacted areas and assist with resource estimation, elicit requirements from cross functional teams, drive future state use cases, and document key areas of testing integrations. This is a remote opportunity for residents of Missouri, Oklahoma, Illinois, Texas, Florida or Wisconsin.
Job Summary:
Supports business strategies and utilizes facilitation skills to elicit requirements and business needs from cross functional teams across all levels of the organization, including vendors. May be required to mentor junior members of the team. Defines solutions, provides training to business users, and acts as a sprint manager to ensure activities are completed in a timely fashion. Defines standard documentation templates. Provides business process mapping services and ensures all requirements are defined well enough for prioritization and execution on requests. Facilitates the request intake management process and represents activity requests with the management prioritization group for resource alignment. Establishes new projects/sprints and provides status updates to management and executive leadership.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops specifications through participation in project teams or meetings with internal/external customers for smaller projects and/or ad hoc requests. Owns projects relatively autonomously with minimal supervision.
Partners with customers, peers and cross functional teams to discover needs; and proactively offers options and solutions.
Interprets data, identifies trends, establishes/utilizes benchmark data, creates data visualization and interpretation of information. Presents information to customers in clear, concise, and useful formats.
Leverages analytic techniques necessary to meet needs of business users supported by the analytic team.
Starts to influence system data and analytics (SDA) department strategy.
Translates customer requirements into project descriptions, analytic and data specifications, and development of project timelines for mid-to-large sized projects or ongoing initiatives including support of cross-ministry and/or system projects.
Produces well-written analytic executive summaries appropriate for presentation to senior leadership.
Prepares sprint cycles and sprint stories. Participates in sprint planning sessions.
Leads / participates in work prioritization sessions.
Mentors other analysts by providing explanations, information training, demonstrations, and answering questions in order to develop team skills in analyzing and presenting data to facilitate decision-making. Provides guidance and training to less experienced staff.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
Rare climbing.
