Clinton, Iowa, OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS MercyOne Clinton has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Oncologist to join a well-established practice located in Clinton, Iowa. The practice is attached to the hospital and currently sees an average of 30 patients per day. New patient visits are allocated 30 minutes and follow-up patients 15 minutes. The selected candidate can expect to split their time 30/70 between Hematology and Medical Oncology. Physicians are supported by four RNs, MA, CNA, and a receptionist. Hospitalists are available to cover infusions, if needed. After hour calls are by phone only and are very minimal. According to the FY22-24 CHNA, through a need differential analysis and steering committee input, Cancer was found to be one of the top 8 health needs in the MercyOne service area. MercyOne has begun working towards the COC (Commission on Cancer) Accreditation. Onsite Radiation Oncology is an outreach of the University of Iowa.

With approximately 50,000 patient admissions every year, MercyOne Clinton provides a broad range of services to meet the health care needs of residents in the bi-state area. With two main campuses, Mercy operates 249 licensed beds.
