EOE Position Information: The Bilingual Scheduling Representative is the primary WakeMed contact for scheduling outpatient services provided systemwide within the call center environment. This position requires an individual to be fluent in the ability to speak both English and Spanish, while able to perform simple translation tasks and possible interpretation at the basic or intermediate level. Responsibilities consist of answering phone calls from an incoming call queue to schedule new appointments or reschedule appointments as needed, and managing incoming faxed or electronically sent physician orders. The Scheduling Representative provides assistance to patients or patient representative, physicians and office staff, and internal hospital staff. Experience Requirements: Customer Service Required – And 2 Years Customer Service And Patient Registration And/Or Scheduling Preferred Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required – And College Courses Related Field Or Associate’s Degree Related Field Preferred – And Medical Terminology Required – Within 1 Year of Hire Licensure/Certification Requirements: Not Applicable Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm Weekend Requirements: No Weekends Call Requirements: None
