Chicago, Illinois, Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). RUSH is currently recruiting for several Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) to join their team. The CRNA will function under the medical direction of the anesthesiologist with regard to pre-anesthetic, anesthetic and post-anesthetic patient management. We have recently revamped the pay structure for this role to be extremely competitive. Sign-on bonuses are available. Position Highlights: Flexible Schedule/Parking/Call: Shifts available are 8’s, 10’s, and 12’s, and your schedule can be tailored to your specific needs. Additionally, our CRNAs are relieved on-time for their slated shifts and not on a “waterfall tear-off” system Parking is paid for, and call requirements are minimal, with no in-house call requirements. Additionally, you are paid to carry your pager whilst on-call, and you are paid a call-rate if you are called in. Call-ins occur about 10% of the time. SRNA Grant/Illinois Nurse Educator Loan Repayment Program: Rush offers all SRNAs the SRNA Grant and Service Agreement. Up to one year before starting on with Rush as an CRNA, students are eligible for a grant to help pay for the cost of their education. Illinois Nurse Educator Loan Repayment Program- $5,000 of loan forgiveness per year up to four years total. Benefits: Rush offers competitive pay with regular reviews and performance-based raises thereafter. Rush matches 50% of the employee’s contribution to their tradition retirement savings fund, up to 6% of pay deferred into the plan. 457(b) plan open to CRNAs – this equates to an additional sum of tax-deferred savings equivalent and in addition to the yearly limit for your 403(b). Part-time CRNAs receive pro-rated time-off based on their FTE. All your hours are available to utilize once you start working-you do not have to accrue time. Education: $2,000 per year for continuing medical education is available for CRNAs, as well as $1,500 every three years for maintenance of licenses and certifications in addition to one workweek off per year for seminars/professional meetings. Rush also hosts weekly grand rounds that counts for one class “A” CEU-free. Additionally, every day precepting an SRNA counts as a class “B” credit. Position Responsibilities: Provide anesthesia for a variety of cases in both an inpatient outpatient setting. The CRNA will function as a faculty member and supervise SRNAs in the nurse anesthesia program.

Position Qualifications Include: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program. Current IL RN/APN license. CPR and ACLS.
