Breathe Birth and Wellness is a freestanding birth center in Tulsa, OK. We have been operational for close to 5 years. Currently we are attending 15-20 births monthly. We are getting busier and are ready to welcome a new member to our team.
Slow paced clinic days: Midwives spend 30 mins- hour with each client for prenatal care and 1.5 hours for initial exam and history. On average, midwives see only eight-ten clients per day. This type of care allows you to build a relationship with the people we serve.
On-call system rotates weekends (every 3 rd weekend at present) and one night a week. Call status requires 24/7 availability. In addition, some rotating back up call for our homebirth midwife may be needed. All primary call shifts include phone and triage work, reviewing/reporting labs, and answering client portal messages; some shifts include attending births.
Clinic schedule: 9:00 -5:00pm 4 shifts weekly
Births are attended by a midwife and an assistant. Often, a student midwife will also attend as Breathe is also an educational site.
