Occ Summary Perform journeyman level carpentry work in the planning, laying out, construction, repair and assembly of temporary and permanent buildings, additions, partitions and wooden structures and fixtures; provide technical guidanceand direction to lower level personnel. Hours: 1st shift 7am-3:30pm. Monday-Friday. Other shifts may be needed to meet the needs of Duke Raleigh Hospital Work Performed equipment.

Perform journeyman level carpentry work in the construction, repair and renovation of floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, and screens from blueprints, sketches, and verbal Install glass in windows, doors and partitions; replace damaged ceiling and floor tile and other damaged Operate woodworking equipment and machines to saw, plane, drill or mortise lumber for doors, cabinets, shelves, molding and related fixtures; cut mortises for locks and hinges; hang doors. Estimate amount of required lumber and supplies for projects; select the type of lumber and material necessary. Inspect completed work and direct any rework or modification. Provide technical guidance and direction to lower level personnel. Experience Work requires 2 years of broad experience in carpentry to acquire EXPERIENCE knowledge of the methods and techniques of the carpentry trade.
