Wilmington, Delaware, Nemours is seeking an MRI Physicist for the Radiology Enterprise. The MRI Physicist will support both clinical and research functions within the Nemours Radiology Enterprise, spanning Delaware, Florida, and New Jersey. In addition to pursuing independent research projects, the candidate will contribute to clinical services by optimizing MRI-based clinical and research imaging protocols, develop an ongoing process for quality assurance, ensure regulatory compliance and ACR accreditation, assist in design and execution of MRI data collection and analysis, conduct equipment acceptance testing, evaluate new technologies and upgrades, and provide MR physics education for students, residents and fellows. Essential function performed include: Provide support to clinical and research projects of interest to the Radiology Enterprise. Function as independent research faculty, including research project design and execution, data analysis, writing/submitting grant proposals, and publication of scientific findings in peer-reviewed journals. Advance applications of new imaging methods on high-field MRI scanners in the study of pediatric disorders. Implement scanner protocols, pulse sequence compatibility, and provide consultation for multi-site projects. Design and oversee quality assurance programs, ACR accreditation and adherence to clinical trial performance criteria Serve as a member of the MRI safety committee; develop policies and procedures, address safety issues, and review the MRI safety program. Implement and use novel sophisticated image processing and image analysis programs. Teach, supervise and mentor students, residents and fellows Collaborate with other investigators, Radiologists, pediatric MR scientists across the country/world, and industry partners on MR research initiatives.

Experience with MRI and data analysis required. PhD Required.
