Dallas, Texas, JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain Data Strategic, the Supply Chain Strategic Data Analyst is a technical expert in Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality (cleansing/standardization and matching). They will work closely with Supply Chain Services as well as key stakeholders to develop, design and test new technologies to improve data standardization to ensure efficient supply chain operations and align business and data management objectives. As a Supply Chain Strategic Data Analyst, you will enhance data integrity through report automation and routine data audits to ensure master data is aligned accurately among internal systems, with third party providers and trading partners. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE Maintain the integrity and quality of large data sets through the development and automation of tools, reports, processes, and models which detect data anomalies to fix and improve data. Ensures quality of master data in key systems, as well as development and documentation of processes to achieve Service Level Agreements and enhance overall performance. In collaboration with key stakeholders, defines and implements data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and dependable. Evaluate internal master data quality for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data. Apply strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues around the MDM solution, and liaison with vendors to diagnose and resolve potential defects. Assists in data management and data quality of master data requirements with other functional data owners to ensure master data integrity across the organization is consistent and meets stated business rules and requirements. Works closely with the Supply Chain Services team to ensure alignment of master data rules and the operations of applications meet all requirements.
Works with team members to assist Supply Chain Services with implementing data and process standards to support departmental capital and operational budget planning to align with Supply Chain strategic initiatives. Provide recommendations to the immediate supervisor regarding continuous improvement in data quality. Provide input on data elements to profile, proactively reach out to business partners on validation of processes. Create and update SQL queries to identify data issues, data fixes, manual extracts, etc. Create standard and custom reports using MS Access (ODBC), SSMS, Coginiti and other software solutions. Develop data model requirements for various projects and business cases. Ongoing data quality monitoring and audits to correct Item Master Data.
