Farmington, Missouri, Additional Information About the Role PRN Opportunity Parkland Health Center , a part of BJC Healthcare, providing quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the St. Francois County and surrounding communities is seeking a PRN Communications Security Officer to assist our security team with answering calls and dispatching officers. This role receives incoming calls and handles based on department guidelines. Some clerical duties are required. Overview Parkland Health Center includes two locations in Missouri — a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington as well as a three-bed critical access hospital in Bonne Terre.
Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. Parkland’s Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics, geriatric psychiatry and emergency services, along with a wide variety of outpatient services including oncology services, an infusion center, a wound care clinic, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. The Parkland Bonne Terre campus includes emergency services, inpatient services for patients meeting specific criteria, and a sleep study lab. The Security department provides support for maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, guests, and staff on a 24 hour basis. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Responsible for receiving, directing, processing, and routing all incoming and outgoing communications for the Security Department in accordance with Customer Service standards and expectations, and for performing other duties as required. Responsibilities Receives, processes, and transfers as appropriate all incoming and outgoing calls for the Security Department. Answers and makes all calls utilizing approved messaging and scripting according to department procedures. Completes daily events log, incident reports, and vehicle registration file. Maintains accurate morgue records, parking registration cards, patient valuable log, lost and found log, and monitors key tracking.
