Austin, Texas, Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications: Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds, directing staff and overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies. Responsible for warehouse inventory orders, office supply orders, stocking and managing inventory levels. Principal Responsibilities: Oversees and maintains the following departmental programs Directs, coordinates, and plans essential central services such as security, cleaning, D. I Water System, pest control, Avanti Market, and bio hazard waste Completes supply orders for warehouse inventory Maintains upkeep of buildings and grounds Answers inquiries regarding inventory availability and daily needs Oversees all facilities quarterly and annual building inspections Manages all electrical, plumbing, A/C, roofing, flooring, site generators, painting and lighting needs Coordinates improvement and remodeling of facilities Receives, stocks, rotates and enters all products into ProcureIT for all departments Maintains remote shipment supplies return Responds appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise Hires and directs departmental staff in the performance of their duties. Interviews all prospective applicants for department Oversees departmental general orientation and training of employees Conducts performance appraisals for employees in a timely manner Counsels employees when indicated in accordance with CPL and departmental policies Utilizes staff effectively through scheduling and work assignments Enthusiastically performs miscellaneous duties with completion in a designated time frame. Scope: Ensures facilities maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and work orders are tracked and completed within the budgeted guidelines. Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Minimum – Three years working experience in facility maintenance. Skills: Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization. Ability to read and write in English. Ability to work without close supervision.
