About this Role
The Designer IV role requires an individual with autonomy and the ability to contribute to the design vision for projects. They must work closely with marketing, content, and developers to execute designs and understand the user journey. A strong understanding of the business and its services is crucial for identifying user paths and increasing leads.
Our hybrid work model consists of work-from-home opportunities, with 3 recommended in-office days (T, W, TH) to maximize team collaboration and 2 WFH days (M, F). We believe in offering ongoing flexibility when it comes to the things that happen in life, like childcare, doctor appointments and the joys of homeownership!
Role Expectations
- Execute high-quality web design outcomes and goal accomplishment with minimal oversight.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to gather requirements and brainstorm web design solutions.
- Contribute to the web design vision and direction for projects, helping to push the sites forward.
- Understand the user journey and the business, identifying user paths and designing web experiences to increase leads.
- Work with developers to execute web designs and ensure a smooth design process.
- Continually iterate on web design concepts to make brands relevant and relatable to their audiences.
- Possess an eye for detail and a variety of web design styles.
Quality Impact
- Assume responsibility for design outcomes and goal accomplishment.
- Create graphics and imagery that maintain brand quality and continuity.
- Design modern looking, high-converting landing pages, ads, and calls to action.

- Complete deliverables in a timely manner.
- Work with other designers, developers, content writers and marketers to gather requirements and brainstorm solutions.
- Attend and participate in regular team and departmental meetings
Qualifications & Skills
- 6+ years of related work experience with web design and 4 year degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with tools such as Figma, Photoshop, and WordPress.
- Clearly communicate the “why” behind web designs through all deliverable touch points, including website, A/B tests, split tests, and print.
- Ability to work autonomously and self-manage tasks.
- A solid and up-to-date understanding of best practices, developments, and trends in web and mobile design practices.
- Familiarity with UX principles and best practices.
- Ability to create engaging custom illustrations and other visual assets.
- Strong track record of quickly delivering effective designs for multiple devices and screen sizes.
- Ability to work effectively on multiple projects at one time.
- Comfortable sharing design work early and often.
- Experience putting together high fidelity designs using Sketch and Adobe CC.
- Ability to use whiteboarding, sketching on pencil and paper, using post-it notes, wireframes, or other forms of low-fidelity design to validate assumptions and communicate with stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills, working with team members across various departments.
- Understanding of the business and its services, in order to make informed web design decisions.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions quickly.
- A solid portfolio of work including web and visual design examples. To be considered, please include a short summary of current work that you have completed with example URLs.
