Procreate

Content Creator

Help us tell our story!

At Procreate we’re dedicated to making exceptional creative tools by combining beautiful user experiences with high performance engineering. Used by millions around the globe, Procreate is committed to placing more power in the hands of creatives.

We’re looking for a dynamic and versatile Content Creator to join our Marcom team. This person will increase our capacity to produce content which is informative, entertaining and engaging.

The content you produce will demonstrate the functionality of Procreate and align with our product motto; “sketch, paint, create”.

The role.

You’ll work with internal creatives from a range of teams to develop content programs that are suitable for a range of online and in-person mediums.

This role sits within the Marcom team and you’ll report to our Creative Director, Andrew Johnstone. This is a collaborative role which will see you work directly with our existing content creator, and creatives from the education team as well as illustrators and designers from our Content team.

The content you collaborate on will match the requirements of a variety of social media platforms. You’ll create a content strategy which maximises our visibility on those platforms and encourages growth in the use of Procreate as a tool.

What you’ll do.

Create specific animation based content. You’ll create strong animation based concepts, storyboards, and bring those ideas to life as polished final pieces. You’ll be able to work comfortably and collaboratively with our other content creators but also be able to work independently on your own animated content that aligns with the larger creative strategy and direction. You’ll develop animations, which will be used across our marketing channels, that appeal to a diverse audience.

Create prototypes for format specific content. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to exercise your skillset across a range of digital content platforms. You’ll produce short form content that you might find on platforms such as TikTok, medium length format that would fit comfortably on Instagram or YouTube or longer from content such as tutorials or demonstrations that would suit platforms like Masterclass or SkillShare. You’ll maximise our opportunities by creating format specific content but also by adapting content to fit multiple platforms at once.

Develop a content pipeline strategy. You’ll work towards creating a deep internal content bank which can be utilised to create a constant pipeline of content which demonstrates the power and functionality of Procreate software. You’ll work towards a weekly release cycle that caters directly to our community and the ways in which they are using Procreate in their personal workflows.

Structure content creation around; education and entertainment. You’ll develop content frameworks around two related but seperate content markets. One branch of content will be directed at an audience that is looking for informative content which helps them get the most out of the software. The other branch will be directed at the portion of the market that is looking for entertainment and novelty.

Skills.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about their craft. If you don’t see yourself in everything on this list don’t worry, even if you match just a few we’d still love to hear from you.

Refined illustrative ability. You are a accomplished artist, comfortable with animation and illustration across a range of styles and mediums of expression. You love to draw, sketch or paint and have a comprehensive portfolio which demonstrates your ability with Procreate and other creative software such photoshop, illustrator or after affects. Experience across the full cycle of video content creating including; editing, compositing, concept development and script writing would also help you thrive in this role.

Self driven with a client facing personality. You’ll be comfortable in front of the camera and will deliver tutorials and demonstrations both in person and online. You’ll often play an active role in the visual and audio material you produce – people will see you as an ambassador for Procreate. While you will have the opportunity to work closely with your team and other creatives, much of the decision making process will be in your hands. You’ll have the opportunity to present ideas for specific content and create big-picture strategy for the content department over the long term.

Methodical and process orientated. Part of this role is to systemise our content delivery and establish a predictable program of content which our community can rely on. To make this possible, you will need to approach your role with a focus on process and procedure. The team will be able to use this system as a framework for content creation into the future.

Experience with brand identity and growth. You may have created your own brand, run a small or medium sized business or been a member of a large content team. Whatever your background, you will be familiar with what it takes to build an audience or community and then deliver a program of content which is specific to that group of people. Any experience in driving brand recognition or user adoption will directly influence your ability to succeed in this role.
