Climate Connect Digital

Our team is inspired to change the world by making energy more intelligent, greener, and affordable. Established in 2011 in London, UK, and now headquartered in Gurgaon, India. We have become a leading energy-AI software player from unassuming beginnings at the vanguard of accelerating the global energy transition.

In 2020, Renew Power, India’s largest renewables developer, acquired Climate Connect. Following ReNew’s listing on NASDAQ during summer 2021, Climate Connect has become the technology anchor of a new fully independent subsidiary – Climate Connect Digital. With backing from ReNew as the anchor investor to pursue an ambitious and visionary new strategy for rapid organic and inorganic growth.

Our mission has technology at its core and involves unlocking value through intelligent software, digitalisation, and ‘horizontal integration’ across the energy ecosystem. However, the application of computational power and machine learning to the energy sector has yet to be fully leveraged and can create massive value.

How you fit in

As a Senior UX Designer, you will ensure that our customers succeed, in ways that are delightful to them and impactful for the business. You will do this by working with a cross-functional product squad to create compelling and effective solutions to a range of user problems. You will be a point of reference for user-centricity and design thinking and collaborate most closely with a product manager and engineering lead. You will report to a Head of Design.

Job responsibilities

  • Critically evaluate user research findings to identify map user needs to possible design solutions. You may occasionally also support user research programmes.
  • Illustrate design ideas using e.g. storyboards, process flows, sitemaps, and wireframes
  • Work with product managers to design and conduct incisive, efficient experiments that can be used to validate solutions
  • Create components and elements that can be used to build great user experiences
  • Construct high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes to communicate a clear understanding of the desired end-product
  • Monitor the UX of products to identify possible problems/shortcomings, and propose enhancements or interventions as needed
  • You may occasionally also help with visual design assignments
  • Work with product managers and engineering leads to prioritise features and work items within the backlog
  • Contribute to design systems and style guides that are applied across the company and product
  • Participate in and drive various squad sessions to ensure sprint progress
  • Be the voice of user-centricity and design thinking in your product squad, and help your colleagues understand the value of UX

Job requirements

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in UI/UX roles, preferably with a focus on UX design
  • Strong portfolio of design work. Experience with data visualisation and information-rich products is a bonus.
  • Substantial experience with technology product companies, and a deeply-ingrained product thinking mindset
  • Ability to work incrementally and experimentally, and to place outcomes over outputs
  • Collaborative approach, with good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to tell compelling stories, with strong visual and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work systematically, through the conscious leveraging of design toolkits, frameworks, and systems
  • A passion for energy and climate issues is a bonus
