Job Description

The School of Nursing (SON) has an open position for an Academic Success and Advising Professional. The individual in this position provides comprehensive academic advising to ensure that direct entry and potential nursing students are academically on track to enter and/or transfer into the nursing program. This position encompasses analyzing and resolving academic problems and making appropriate referrals to campus resources. This position encompasses several broad areas: 1) represent the SON at recruitment events, 2) direct student advising, 3) coordinate pre-requisite course(s) registration, 4) track students’ academic progression, 5) communicate directly with students, faculty, and staff, 6) conduct orientation for transfer and rising third year students, 7) complete degree audits, and 8) participate in school and university-based committee activities. This position begins August 1, 2023 or earlier.

Requirements:

A baccalaureate degree is required. At least one year experience in academic advising, or academic support services is preferred.
