Job Description or Duties:
The Online Coordinator & Academic Coach supports the College of Arts &
Sciences graduate online programs of English and Modern Languages (Spanish) and leads the academic, career, and professional advising and
coaching for the College/Department’s graduate online students. The position must have a strong commitment to student recruitment and
retention. A bilingual (Spanish) candidate is preferred.
- Leads the academic, career, and professional advising and coaching for
current undergraduate online students working towards timely completion of degree. Assist with the management of academic plans and
communication strategies with current online students. Provide exceptional customer service including timely response to emails and voice
messages. - Collaborate with Department and UNK Online recruiting and management personnel to manage the recruitment funnel for
online prospects through the CRM. - Collaborate with Department and UNK Online personnel to assist with the design, development, and
implementation of targeted marketing and retention campaigns specific to online programs. - Lead efforts in compiling, organizing,
and presenting program data relative to online program enrollment, retention, outcomes, etc. Efforts should be aligned to recruit new
students and to service current students to ensure student outcomes and program stability. - Work closely with Department to
coordinate the completion of necessary documents including applications, program supporting materials, comprehensive exam, exit surveys, and
graduation. - Collaborate with other coordinators as an active member of the Online Coordinator Coalition.
- Other duties as
assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent oral and written
communication skills - Proficient with computer software to include work processing, databases, and spreadsheets
- Experience
reading and interpreting complex information, talking with customers, and providing exceptional customer service - Experience in
collaborative work and interacting effectively with team members, clients, and outside constituents - Working knowledge of compiling,
organizing, and presenting data
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in
educational leadership, higher-ed student affairs, online learning, or related field - One year experience in college admissions or
advising offices: knowledge of principles and practices in college student services - Knowledge of CRM system(s)
- Experience
in compiling, organizing, and presenting data - Bilingual (Spanish)
