Under general direction of
the Diversity & Inclusion Manager for Human Resources, the incumbent will provide administrative coordination and support on a day-to-day
basis to the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Board, the Co-Chief Diversity Officers, and affiliated administrative
office.
Major duties and responsibilities:
Program Coordination
- Initiate items such as agendas,
minutes, and records of meetings of the President’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Board and submit them to various committee members
and offices. - Serve as a liaison/coordinator among the DEI Board, its committees, members, and the various administrative offices on
campus that interact with the Board. - Manage, prioritize, and respond to incoming correspondence, telephone messages, and e-mails
for the DEI Board. - Prepare and maintain the calendar for DEI Board meetings, retreats, and other related events.
- Develop
appropriate publications, social media communications, and advertising to enhance the visibility of the DEI Board and its programming
efforts. - Maintain inventory of DEI Board equipment and supplies.
- Administer and analyze program evaluations to determine
efficacy of programming efforts to meet DEI goals. - Facilitate/co-facilitate learning opportunities, programs, and trainings in
various DEI-related topics. - Plan, execute, coordinate, and publicize diversity programs, trainings, seminars, and conferences.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support for the three Co-Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officers as
well as to the Diversity & Inclusion Manager, Human Resources. - Receive, process, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive
information and materials. - Prepare routine correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Schedule/cancel appointments and
meetings, and maintain notes and records of all meetings. - Assist with routine travel arrangements.
Budget
Coordination
- Develop, prioritize, and manage the DEI Board budget.
- Prepare budget projections and reports, monitor budget
spending, process reimbursements, and reconcile invoices, requisitions, and procurement card statements.
Assessment, Research, and
Reporting
- Prepare the Annual Report for the DEI Board and all related subcommittees.
- Serve as a resource person to the
faculty, Administration, staff, and students regarding DEI Board policies and advise them on proper sources of information concerning DEI
Board policies and procedures. - Preserve and maintain all DEI Board records and other pertinent documents.
- Manage
permissions and train/provide guidance to the DEI Board members on the use of the campus Assessment Management System for reporting
purposes. - Collect and analyze data relating to the institution’s DEI Strategic Plan goal, which includes survey design and
development, data management and analysis, and report writing.
Website Management
- Maintain and update the website for the
DEI Board and all related webpages. - Propose and create new content.
- Edit webpages to maintain design, accessibility, and
compliance - Propose and design content to improve navigation for enhanced user experience.
Lead Work Direction
- Delegate work assignments to student assistants and work-study student
Other Duties
- Provide administrative and
clerical support as needed and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Required Education and
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis,
and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. - Two
years of related experience.

- Excellent verbal and written communication
skills. - Attention to detail and excellent research and analysis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to
utilize discretion and keep information confidential. - Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
environment. - Working knowledge of general practices, programs, and/or administrative specialties.
- Ability to organize and
plan work and projects, including handling multiple priorities. - Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for research and statistical analysis and the ability to apply them.
- Ability to
compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty. - Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain
effective working relationships within and outside the workgroup and serve as a liaison for the organizational unit. - Must be
customer-service-focused and able to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees and managers in a team-based
environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- The equivalent of five years of progressively responsible
experience in program creation or support.
Compensation and Benefits:
Anticipated Hiring Range: $4,170 –
$5,564 per month
Classification Salary Range: $4,170 – $7,545 per month
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit
