Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4201 – $4500 per month
Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,201 – $7,288 per month
- This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
- This position is on an 11/12 Pay Plan which is equivalent to eleven months of salary distributed over a 12-month period. The scheduled month off will be July.
- Initial appointment will be on a 12 month pay plan from the date of hire through the end of the July 2024 pay period. At the beginning of the August pay period, the appointment will change to an 11/12 pay plan whereby the incumbent will work 11 months per year and are paid 12 months (11/12) with each subsequent July off.
- Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State’s remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.

Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Chair of the Department of Art, Design, and Art History and with close collaboration with the Faculty Gallery Committee, the Gallery Technician will perform a variety of duties to facilitate the operation of the Phebe Conley Gallery and other ancillary exhibition spaces. The incumbent must be able to work relatively independently and possess the necessary people skills to work directly and effectively with a diverse range of undergraduate students, as well as faculty and guest exhibitors. The Gallery Technician will provide comprehensive support services for all aspects related to the exhibition needs of the Department. The incumbent may be asked to work a flexible schedule as required by the Department.

Education and Experience
- Equivalent to four years of experience providing instructional supportive services related to the art exhibition or a related field or discipline (e.g. construction, framing, hanging, lighting, etc.)
- Equivalent to four years of college with 16 semester units in courses involving extensive use of materials, supplies, or equipment and in a discipline related to the area to which assigned may be substituted for two years of the required experience.
