ANNOUNCEMENT:
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Director
of Student Success Programs.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values
of Southwestern Illinois College, the Director of Student Success Programs manages the activities of the Student Success Programs
departments within the College’s prescribed administrative, personnel, budgetary and contractual policies to ensure that services in
support of quality instruction are provided to all students. This position is responsible for professional work requiring the application of
management skills and practices within the Student Success Programs which includes: Success Centers, Success Programs, Peer Tutor Training
and Certification, Instructional Support, Testing Centers and retention efforts. This position is responsible for assisting and enabling
faculty and staff in the maintenance and strengthening of the instructional support programs that support student engagement, retention,
persistence, and completion. This position requires technical knowledge pertaining to college policies and procedures, federal and state
legislation, and generally accepted industry practices. This position also requires a high level of interpersonal skills, analytical skills
and the ability to prepare concise reports. Helping students learn, through the effective and efficient administration and management of the
Student Success Programs, is the most significant role of this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master’s
degree in education, student development, or related field required.

2. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in student
success programming or learning center management required. Preferably in higher education.

3. Experience in assessment, as well as
student retention programs and systems strongly preferred.

4. Experience in developmental/remedial/basic skills programs
preferred.

5. Experience in advising/counseling/instruction of non-traditional college students and special populations
preferred.

6. Familiarity with student administration platforms, such as PeopleSoft, preferred.

7. Must successfully pass a
criminal background check.

SALARY: Salary Grade 5 on Administrative Pay Scale, ranging
$65,182 to $73,619 per year.

WORK LOCATION: Belleville Campus
