Eof-Tutor (Pt Internal)
Job Description
for tutoring students to help improve their reading and/or math skills in the Academic Resource Center. Tutors are expected to work
one-on-one and/or in small groups, assisting college students in math and/or reading instruction. The student will also be required to
attend weekly group reflection activities throughout the semester.
This is a part-time, hourly position.
Examples of
Duties:
- Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasks
- Make
appropriate referrals to other campus and community resources as needed - Perform other duties as
assigned
Qualifications:
- Current PCCC student in good academic standing with the college.
- Have a B+
or higher in the course(s) providing tutoring in - Have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
The completion of a background check will be
required for the selected candidate.
