The Supplemental Instruction (SI) Coordinator is part of a team that provides the day-to-day administrative and program oversight for a comprehensive Supplemental Instruction program being provided through THINK TANK. Under the direction of the Supplemental Instruction Services Coordinator, the SI Coordinator leads, coordinates, and supervises the activities of the SI component of THINK TANK. The position is administrative and supervisory in nature. The person selected for this position will be expected to be optimistic, innovative, flexible, forward-thinking, and adaptable.

Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the SI Services Coordinator to provide leadership in developing and implementing an exemplary and comprehensive Supplemental Instruction program.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate Supplemental Instruction Leader staff.
- Maintain the SI Leader workforce within established budget guidelines.
- Implement and maintain a regular and high-quality training program for Supplemental Instruction Leaders.
- Plan for the development of the SI Leaders.
- Oversee daily operations and coordinate program activities, to include: securing necessary material (textbooks, note cards…), and providing direction for instructional content being delivered through undergraduate staff.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with participating faculty.
- Approve payroll and resolve discrepancies.
- Follow established guidelines to communicate workplace information to SI Leaders.
- Maintain database with SI Leader information and visit data.
- Perform data collection, documentation and analysis to ensure accurate and timely development of SI reports. Submit usage reports weekly.
- Promote program awareness and use within classes.
- Serve as a technical and methods expert for SI Leaders’ special needs.
- Provide problem-solving assistance; interpret departmental policy and procedures pertaining to SI.
- Responsible for regularly communicating the progress, outcomes, and direction of work to the SI Services Coordinator.
- Make recommendations concerning improvement of programs and services to SI Services Coordinator.
- Interact with THINK TANK staff to facilitate departmental work.
- Support department through participation in a variety of department activities and committees.

- Interest in implementing and facilitating an academic success program.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, or other appropriate field and one year of directly related administrative/coordinative experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, or other appropriate field
- Experience supporting students in STEM subjects.
- Experience working in an SI program.
- Experience with FERPA and ethical principles in working with student employees and students.
- Experience with University of Arizona student-worker hiring procedures and policies.
