Major/Essential Functions
The Sr. Program Director provides leadership, direction, and coordination for the Education and outreach Services team through education, public programs, and community engagement. The Sr. Program Director is responsible for the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of all education and program offerings ensuring that each offering aligns with either CME or CEU requirements and involves diverse presenters and audiences. The Sr. Program Director is responsible for providing clear and strategic leadership to oversee all aspects of the education programs within the School Mental Health Services section of the Department of Psychiatry. The Sr. Program Director will coordination with both the CATR-TCHATT Sr. Program Director and the CPAN-PeriPAN Sr. Program Director in order to connect with the overall goals of each program and stay informed of needs as they arise for each program and the specified group served.
- Oversees day to day operations in the delivery of educational services provided by the team
- Provides guidance and direction to team on program structure, operation, and goals.
- Oversees the day to day function of staff.
- Provides supervision and instruction as necessary in program protocols, assessment methods, and professionalism.
- Completes quarterly coaching with all Education and Outreach Services team members
- Manages time off requests, sick leave, and team calendar for Education and Outreach Services team
- Collaborates with the Sr. Program Director for CPAN and PeriPAN for CME offerings and CPAN and PeriPAN ECHO session
- Collaborates with the Sr. Program Director for CATR-TCHATT for CEU offerings and CATR ECHO sessions
- Develops and updates weekly and monthly detailed productivity reports.
- Effectively and engagingly speaks about the program to community members, school leadership, education service centers (ESC), providers, and stakeholders across the identified region.
- Attends monthly meeting with the Central Operating Support Hub (COSH)
- Listen/view the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC) meetings
- Develops mental health materials to program staff.
- Works in collaboration with primary care health providers, case management providers, employees, school personnel, educational service center leadership, and outside consultants as needed to ensure a high-quality continuum of care that comprehensively meets the needs of the professionals within each field.
- Oversees the Professional Services operational process
- Develops strategies for improved efficiency and evaluate performance of team operations to pinpoint areas for improvement.
- Communicate and collaborate across programs, with upper level management, and within the community.
- Identify, recruit, train and develop a talented team of qualified team members.
- Monitor program operations and ensure team members comply with institutional operating policies and procedures.
- Develops educational materials to staff.
- Increase participation in ECHO sessions and CME and CEU series.
- Oversee educational outreach.
- Seek and bring in new qualified and highly trained experts.
- Create, implement monthly series for multiple programs and audiences.
- Maintains structure and information for accurate and up-to-date records of sessions, audiences, topics, etc.
- Coordinates and supervises services, to include office hours, presentation schedules, ECHO schedules, and setting clear expectations.
- Attends and facilitates team meetings each week for the Education and Outreach Services program.
- Guides team in maintaining communication with school personnel, education service, centers, providers, clinic administrators, and other key community members.
- Standardizes the process of regular communication verbally and in written form with school personnel, clinic administrators, and providers.
- Maintains and updates professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, workshops and serving on special committees.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Five years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Education, Human Sciences, or closely related field.
* Experience in analyzing and interpreting data.
* Mathematical skills for metric tracking and reporting.

Pay Statement
