Job Description

The Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Augustana College in the search for a Vice President for College
Advancement.

Reporting to the President, the Vice President for College Advancement will provide strategic vision and direction for
the cultivation of philanthropic giving in support of Augustana College. Working closely with the President and Board of Trustees in all
matters related to stewardship and philanthropy, the Vice President will provide leadership for the implementation and assessment of a
comprehensive and integrated plan for fundraising. The Vice President will collaborate closely with the President in the development of
mutually rewarding relationships with Augustana’s donors that strengthen the college’s ability to fulfill its mission of
providing students an education with purpose that prepares them for lives of leadership and service. As a member of the President’s
Administrative Cabinet, the Vice President will work collaboratively to set institutional priorities and achieve alignment around them. The
Vice President will lead a team of dedicated development professionals responsible for alumni and parent relations, annual giving,
endowment, grants, corporate and foundation giving, and major and planned gifts. The Vice President will uphold Augustana College’s
community principles of accountability, care, purpose, responsibility, openness, and respect—principles that apply to all members of
the Augustana community both in and out of the classroom.

Augustana College has grown from a small school educating Swedish
immigrants into a selective, private liberal arts institution. Located along the Mississippi River in Rock Island, Illinois, the 115-acre
wooded campus is part of the Quad Cities (along with Bettendorf, Davenport, and Moline) a metropolitan area of about 400,000 and is 165
miles west of Chicago. Augustana College’s residential campus is home to 2,500 students with more than 100 majors and areas of study to
choose from. The college boasts a 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio with an average class size of 18. There are 28 varsity athletic teams
competing as the Augustana Vikings. The Vikings are in the top 15 in the nation, all divisions, and #1 in Illinois for Academic
All-Americans, students excelling equally in their academics and their sport. Augustana College provides students with amazing opportunities
to explore. Through Augie Choice, the college provides students with $2,000 to support life-defining experiences such as internships,
independent research or creative projects, or study abroad/travel for student research or an internship. Augustana College is also committed
to being a good neighbor and partner with the city of Rock Island and provides students with opportunities to do hands-on work that builds
their experience and provides direct benefit to the surrounding community.

America, and number 11 on its Best Colleges in Illinois list. The biology and psychology programs received high national rankings by
College Factual, both making the top 100 out of more than 800 programs in the nation. And Thrillist.com named Augustana
College campus among its Top 25 Most Beautiful College Campuses in America.

Augustana College will
consider candidates with a broad range of backgrounds. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at
least seven years of progressively responsible leadership and fundraising experience within higher education institutional advancement is
