Senior Major Gifts Manager
Salary £45-50k per annum, pro-rata, including any London Weighting (Permanent)
Hours: 37.5 hours (5 days a week), with flexibility, as we have generous flexible and home working practices. 4 days a week may be considered.
Location: Salisbury or London office with flexibility to work from home for part of the week.
About the charity:
This charity believe children belong in families, never in orphanages, and their goal is simple: to make orphanages a thing of the past. Orphanages don’t protect children, they harm them, with more than half the children confined in orphanages around the world suffering violence of one form or another.
The charity work across 9 countries. In 2021, they worked in 64 orphanages – closing 7 for good – and they prepared over 2,500 children to return to their own families or new loving families. Thousands of children and families from future generations will be saved from ever living in orphanages because of the essential, family-focussed services this ambitious charity has set up with local partners… This is impact!
About the role:
As the Senior Major Gifts Manager, you’ll build a growing portfolio of donors and prospects identifying and cultivating major gift prospects, securing substantial donations to support the cause. You’ll build powerful relationships, foster onward referral, unlock connections, and leverage networks will be instrumental in the success of this.
About you, what are we looking for:
- Proven experience in cultivating and securing major gifts, with a track record of soliciting significant gifts.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage and influence high-net-worth individuals.
- Excellent networking abilities to leverage connections and expand their supporter base.
- Creative and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop compelling propositions and campaigns.
- Experience in managing high-level advocates and volunteers.
- Passion for the mission and vision of the charity, advocating for the rights of children to grow up in families.
