Alstom

The role directly reports to the Economic Development Manager and functionally to ED Controller, Head of Training and Head of Communications.

Purpose of the role:

Integrate, review and fine tune the full Skills Development (SD) and Socio-Economic Development (SED)
Plan for the PRASA Project. Manage the preparation, consolidation and execution of the SD and SED initiatives. Maintain internal and external relations with relevant stakeholders and liaison with existing internal training organization.
Provide support to the ED team to ensure that information from internal departments and suppliers, is captured, analyzed and reported in a timely manner.

Internal and External Stakeholders

Internal – Finance, Training, Communications, Human Resources, Sourcing

External – service providers for SD and SED

Measurement (Key Performance Indicators)

On -time delivery of quality reports to internal and external stakeholders
Feedback from internal and external stakeholders
On-time completion of B-BBEE audit and achievement of compliance level 2 and above
Full programme management of SED and SD programmes in line with obligations
Submission of accurate B-BBEE and Local Content report data in line with agreed timelines.

Experience

Training

Coordinate relevant Learnerships and Other Development Programmes.
End to end coordination of the SD Programmes.
Liaising with the relevant SETA’s regarding all our Rail Related Programme.
Management of relations with relevant Academic Institutions in conjunction with the Talent Development Manager.
Facilitate R&D programmes with local Universities in Rail Engineering.
Report ED Training including the expenditure thereto.
Manage proper fulfillment of Gibela commitment as per PRASA Contract.

Reporting

Obtain understanding of ED contractual commitments i.e. Skills Development and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment.
Coordinate the timely submission of progress reports by internal and external users and data monthly.
Assure robust forecast is available for all ED dimensions monthly.
Generate qualitative and quantitative monthly reports on ED commitments. Analyse the data to ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
Support ED audits for B-BBEE compliance and Customer audit compliance.
Refine and improve the tool for efficiency and find more efficient ways of obtaining valid and accurate data to place reliance on to ensure quality assurance of the ED Tool data in line with the contract interpretation and B-BBEE Codes.

SED

End to end coordination of the SED Programmes
Liaising with the relevant service providers and beneficiaries
Develop and Report SED Programme expenditure.

Community Stakeholder Management

Support community stakeholder management initiatives i.e. compile presentations, attend Service provider visits to monitor initiatives running and/or campaigning initiatives.

Minimum requirements:

Grade 12
A minim of 3 years’ experience in Transformation and working within a commercial organization.
Commercial degree/diploma other relevant qualification
Data analysis experience
Reporting and Project Management experience
Knowledge of B-BBEE
Advanced MS Office
