What you’ll do
A Cape Town office based role with potential for some homeworking where the successful candidate will interact with people in the local office but will have most work interactions remotely using Microsoft Office for instant messaging, video calling and emails.
Responsibilities
There are a growing number of tasks and activities that the business is identifying that can be carried out by a Finance Administration Assistant. Appropriate supervision and training will be given for bespoke internal systems.
Example Activities:
These include but may not be limited to:
Log in to and enter information on client portals relating to invoices
Enter information on internal systems
Check billing and other information and query apparent errors
Receive and process invoices for payment and update invoice details accordingly
Accurately enter data into corresponding fields within various software programs
Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
Prepare relevant reports as needed
Provide general data entry and administration support as needed.
What you need to succeed:
Must-have:
High School Diploma and some Tertiary qualification such as a bookkeeping qualification or other business diploma.
2 years of data entry experience or related office experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Competent computer skills to be able to navigate websites and to use and switch between programs and websites; and
Data entry into a computer quickly and accurately.
Nice to have:
Good communication skills in person, over video calls, by email and instant messaging. * Attention to detail.
Ability to think logically and follow instructions.
Confident to raise issues when seeing error and to challenge processes as required; and Numerate
