As a result of our success in the market and our ambition to grow further, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our key accounts in the Minerals – Metals & Mining Vertical.

As an Account Manager, you will take the responsibility for the development, exploitation and maximization of the global penetration and profitable growth of the assigned key accounts for the portfolio of Smart Infrastructure. Furthermore, you will analyze the customer’s markets, position and needs and you will investigate for specific business opportunities for the portfolio. You are in the lead to prepare customer contacts together with the regional colleagues and build and maintain a customer focused network on all strategically relevant hierarchical levels. Next to that, you will generate customer specific products and service portfolio concepts, if suitable across all services of a business. In addition, you initiate, facilitate, and contribute to contract negotiations for products, project and service or solution assignments. You oversee the development of agency agreements and purchasing frameworks etc.

You would be hosted within the business unit, Electrification and Automation, which is responsible for the design, delivery and execution of medium voltage and low voltage, energy protection and automation systems and solutions. This in combination with power transmission, generation and distribution specific knowledge and extensive market relationships would make you the perfect candidate.

What are the responsibilities associated with the job?

• Development of executive level relations together with the regional colleagues for the assigned accounts

• Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships

• Develop close relationships with Siemens (internal) stakeholders

What do you need to be considered for this post?

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of electrical / electronic / mechanical or power engineering

• At least 10 years of experience in the field of business development, sales of power distribution systems projects. Specific knowledge of medium and low voltage systems would be an added advantage.

• Demonstrate ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level

• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
