Description
The Academic Administration Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, providing team leadership, and ensuring the Office of Education department meets its strategic goals and initiatives in partnership with the Associate Dean for Education and the Director of Academic Administration. The Academic Administration Manager will manage Office of Education personnel, provide interim educational program management, and develop strategies to ensure academic administration runs smoothly for the Office of Education. This individual will be responsible for managing department dashboards, budget administration, and overseeing all program-related data.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Manages the operations portion of the educational programs at Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing (NHWSN).
- The programs include DNP, Cardiac Perfusion, MN, MSN, InEmory MN, MN+ Pathway, DABSN, and BSN.
- Oversees the daily financial tracking for the programs.
- Negotiates contracts for education and testing platforms.
- Manages the accreditation report process for pre-licensure and graduate clinical programs.
- Provides input to the Program Directors regarding the strategic plan of the program and executes the strategic initiatives.
- Recommends continuation or expansion of existing programs based on results and evaluations.
- Manages the registration process for the Office of Education along with critical registration requests.
- Manages program dashboards and student-related data.
- Responsible for all NHWSN student events and programming.
- Represents NHWSN at university wide events.
- Regularly communicates with the administration and program faculty regarding the program status and any challenges or potential challenges.
- Facilitates collaboration between the Programs and Offices of Clinical Compliance, Student Affairs, Registrar, DEI, and the Assistant Deans for Education.
- Hires, supervises, and evaluates staff.
- Participates in the development of staff goals and objectives.
- Ensures compliance with university policies and procedures.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in business administration or related field, three years of relevant experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of budgeting and financial management, knowledge of dashboard and data management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to lead and motivate a team, able to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software programs.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
