- The position assists and advises students regarding:
- (1) Applications,
- (2)
Registration, - (3) Course selection,
- (4) Career development,
- (5) Graduation requirements, and
- (6) Transfer
process and evaluations. - (7) Evaluates transcripts and performs degree and graduation audits.
- (9) Advises current and
prospective students on degrees offered by the College and provides general information regarding College policies and
procedures.
Supplemental Job Information:
This position: may require some evening and weekend
hours, particularly during peak registration periods. The advisor selected must provide high quality customer services to internal and
external customers.
Qualifications:
The position requires:
- Bachelor’s Degree
and - Two years of prior-related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer
applicants with:
- (1) experience in higher education,
- (2) previous experience in community college student services;
specifically advising, - (3) experience and knowledge of community college programs and student populations,
- (4) excellent
verbal and written communication skills, - (5) the ability to work independently and/or in a team environment,
- (6) Bilingual
(English/Spanish) preferred.
Pay Rate:
$40,290.64
